One thing the Nissan GT-R Nismo is
made for, it is to combine the best performance of a supercar on a track. Is it
"factory tuned" supercar with very specific enhanced aerodynamics and
ultra-precise handling. That what mean Nismo, the brand's motorsport
specialists, to develop the ultimate Nissan GT-R.
Nissan says that this is the fastest
GT-R till now with a 7:08.679 lap time at the famous Nürburgring, which
is the gold standard of high performance achievement."
Under the bonet, we find the
3.8-litre V6 VR38DETT engine benefits from the high-tech that Nismo has gained
from the compititions. Engine power has risen and is now rated at 591hp (441kw)
and 481 lb ft (652 Nm) of torque. Equiped with new high-flow, large diameter
turbochargers, makes the “breathing” a lot better, while optimised individual
ignition timing control for each cylinder and upgraded fuel pump improve
combustion.
The developed Bilstein DampTronic
dumpers in the car’s suspension are modified to to give more grip and better
handling specially when the car is driven to it limit. The driver can choose
between 3 suspension modes: Comfort, Normal and R, for circuit applications.
The GT-R got a 17.3 mm hollow
rear anti-roll bar to minimize the body-roll during cornering and changes of
direction.
The driver does not have to worry
about the way to increase downforce thanks to the front bumper and the rear
spoiler, lowering the centre of gravity and generating an additional 100kg at
300km/h. The car has been tuned to ensure the downforce is equally spread front
to rear at all speeds for progressive handling characteristics.
In the interior, we find a slight
difference, like the carbon-fibre-backed reclining RECARO seats and a Alcantara
steering wheel, with three spokes, red centre mark and red stitching to give
the best combination of grip
