Mercedes
benz have not stopped surprising us every time with a whole new model fitted
with the top of the technologie in the car market,this new S63 AMG Coupé is the
prove of the know-how of Mercedes-AMG after the daddy “S class 63 AMG”. If
combines both of the absolute luxury and performance in one car.
One
of the newsest technologies that got this brand new S coupe is the Lightweight
performance strategy that reduced the weight up to 65 Kilograms even if it is
more equipped and got more power thanks to it AMG V8 Bi Turbo 5.5 litre engine
boosts 585 bhp and 900 Nm of torque witch
is exceptional, also surprising low fuel consumption; the best of all V8
engines. The 4 Matic keep the car stick to the ground with the four wheel drive
and gives it better control around corners. Even the wheels are made with light
alloy and a high performance braking system. Outside, the frnt end of the body
is also made of aluminium. That makes it drink 10.1 litre/100km
All
this make the S 63 AMG coupe go from 0 to 100Km/h in not more than 4.3 seconds
and of course, electronically limited to 250 km/h. all this does not come with
a silent engine, this beast got a sport exhaust system similar as the one we
have seen before in a corvette, the AMG has a choice of bespoke sound, it has automatic
logic-controlled exhaust flaps in both rear silencers. They remain closed when
the transmission is in C "Controlled Efficiency" mode, if the driver
switches to S "Sport" and M "Manual" modes, the flaps open
earlier and more spontaneously. The result is an even fuller, hallmark AMG incredible
sound.
When
we talk about the transmission, we find very clearly that this AMG SPEEDSHIFT
MCT 7-speed sports combines perfectly with the V8 biturbo engine. It is used
exclusively at AMG. There are many configurations for the drivers depending on
his driving style.Three modes to choose from: "C" (Controlled
Efficiency), "S" (Sport) and "M" (Manual). The ECO
start/stop function is fitted as standard.
As
for the transmission, the owners have 2 options in his hands, the MAGIC BODY
CONTROL and full air-suspension system AIRMATIC with the adaptive damping
system ADS PLUS.
The
S 63 coupe uses a new technology named “ROAD SURFACE SCAN” It can detect
surface undulations in advance thanks to a stereo camera. MAGIC BODY CONTROL
then adjusts the suspension in advance to suit the situation. Both suspension
modes - "Comfort" and "Sport" - are also available here.
The AMG-specific elastokinematics also ensure more directness when adopting a
dynamic driving style.
The
instrument panel of the S 63 AMG almost seamlessly transitions into the doors
in a wrap-around design. We notice the high-quality materials and fine workmanship
are combined with a sporty. The AMG sports seats got electrical adjustment,
Memory function and seat heating to give the driver and front passenger best
lateral support like he is driving a big luxorious car. Only the AMG badges remind
the driver that he is driving a monster. The steering wheel with the new
design “new three-spoke AMG” is covered with leather in the grip area to give
better vehicle control, like the daddy S class, the S 63 AMG have a high-resolution
TFT colour display contains dials and everything the driver needs, except the
startup display that displays AMG logo in the 330 km/h scale (left) and the
"V8 BITURBO" lettering in the rev counter (right).
